3. Chapter 12 …? Isolated hunted animal-like Outcast Disillusioned
Attitude to Piggy changes – no longer considers him a ‘bore’ but appreciates his wisdom and intellect – ‘true, wise friend’
Rolls over on the beach in fear (at the start he did cartwheels for joy)

4. Intentions always good and took his leadership seriously
Had the right priorities (shelter, rescue)
Saw that work should come before fun
Manages assemblies well sometimes (Ch 4)
So, why does he change? Why does it all go wrong?
