5 What is Oracle’s Planning Cloud?
Enable Oracle’s Planning Cloud - Cloud product that delivers functionality used to support budgeting and forecast processes - Very similar to the product used on prem - Allows for end user input through forms - System can run calculations on data - Reporting available through batched or ad-hoc analysis - And like on-prem it is accessible through the web browsers and excel © 2016 eCapital Advisors, LLC.

7 PBCS vs EPBCS Enable Oracle’s Planning Cloud
- These models are much better than they were on-prem First decision is purchase PBCS or EPBCS EPBCS will give you pre-built models Overall the products are the same 4) EPBCS will have special features, mainly integrations with other cloud products, are being applied to EPBCS and the pre-built models (that makes sense, Oracle knows how they are setup) 5) Cost - By leveraging these models you will have more custom plan types available - But they will require change management from how you interact with planning today - Wizard on setup, but there is still a learning curve to setup - More functionality Operational Modeling, Profitability, etc. 6) You don’t have to decide now, you can always upgrade to EPBCS - Out of box functionality will have less development time but maybe more time for user training (change management) - The costs to implement will be different - EPBCS is more expense, work with the reps, it may not be as expensive as you think © 2016 eCapital Advisors, LLC.

9 Migration Strategy Enable Oracle’s Planning Cloud
Consolidate your applications Data movement is simplified if pushing data between plan types Login processes are complicated if using multiple applications License costs can be reduced by consolidating into fewer applications Don’t worry about performance, we have seen excellent performance in the cloud 2) Understand new features before you start migrating to the cloud - Some of the features must be enabled when application is created - Some features require, or work better, with certain designs (web form layout as an example) Most of the functionality is the same in the cloud, however; some cannot or should not be carried over to PBCS SQL load rules are not more, EPMA, ODI, outline load utility metadata builds are done (see if this true) MaxL with EPM Automate for scripting Xwrite is replaced my Smart Push © 2016 eCapital Advisors, LLC.

11 Migration Execution Enable Oracle’s Planning Cloud
1) Objects can be migrated from on-prem using LCM in or better - We have developed processes to migrate from older versions - Migration order matters (in terms of the order of which things are LCMed in first, second, ….) - Need have native user to invoke EPM Automate, doesn't work for SSO credentials - We may need to modify LCM and some items will not move using LCM 2) Security on artifacts does not LCM over (i.e. Forms, rules, reports) - Users are setup and maintained differently than today - This is a good time to review and improve your security model (you will be rebuilding it anyway) - SAML authentication can be setup - When on EPBCS, the system will deploy objects, these objects will also require security setup 3) Data and meta-data integrations need to be updated - May have a separate section to review this (depending on time) 4) Get ready to learn as you migrate and after - Almost all functionality from on-prem is available in PBCS, but how you get to each screen is very different (and the old screens are going away) - Task list can be setup to describe almost any set of tasks (both admin and end user) - Academy is there, for many of the items it has videos © 2016 eCapital Advisors, LLC.
