2. Spelling Rule
If a word ends in –f or –fe, then you must add –ves to make it plural EX/ wolf --- wolves
Some nouns are irregular, and you just have to memorize their plural form
EX/ foot  feet EX/ goose ----- geese

3. knives
Cut the sandwiches with the knives.

4. feet
Those shoes hurt my feet.

5. men
The men on the basketball team wear uniforms.

6. children
There are ten children on the team.

7. women
Mom works with five other women.

8. sheep
Did you know that wool comes from sheep?

9. heroes
What does it take to act like heroes?

10. scarves
Ron lost a hat and two scarves this winter.

11. mice
Mice, hamsters, and gerbils make good pets.

12. geese
The honks of the geese are very loud.

13. cuffs
The cuffs of her pants dragged in the mud.

14. elves
Santa has elves to help him build toys all year long.

15. banjos
Like fiddles, banjos are four-stringed instruments.

All the plates had halves of oranges on them.
