3 The Principle of the INFLUENCE:
What is Leadership? “INFLUENCE”

4 Numbers 13:26-33 ~ NKJV 26 Now they departed and came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 Then they told him, and said: "We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.

5 Numbers 13:30-33 ~ NKJV 30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.“ 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we." 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out…

6 Numbers 14:6-10 ~ NKJV 6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; 7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: "The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, 'a land which flows with milk and honey.

7 Numbers 14:6-10 ~ NKJV 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them." 10 And all the congregation said to stone them with stones…

8 EXAMPLE: JOSHUA EXAMPLE: NUMBERS ~ JOSHUA 24:14-15 (NKJV) Leadership impact increases as influence increases.

9 The 5 Levels of Influence
Level 1: Position – Rights Level 2: Permission – Relationship Level 3: Production – Results Level 4: People Development – Reproduction Level 5: Personhood – Respect What Level are you on today?

10 What you do with the influence you currently have will determine whether or not your influence will increase.

11 Joshua 24:14-15 (NKJV) 14 "Now therefore, fear the Lord , serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord ! And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord , choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord ."

12 When a Leader Places Family first, Future Generations Will Be Blessed ~ Joshua 24:14-18
Joshua’s Leadership of His Family Was Greater than His Leadership of the Country. Regardless of What Others Did, Joshua Didn’t Wait for the Crowd. Joshua Modeled Faith-Filled Leadership as a Parent.

13 OBSERVATIONS… Joshua’s influence grew because of time and maturity. (Joshua 1:16-18) Joshua’s influence grew because he possessed patience and integrity. (Joshua 1:5-9) Joshua’s influence grew because he was right. (Joshua 23:1-11)

14 What you do with the influence you currently have will determine whether or not your influence will increase.

15 Joshua Finished Well… Seven years to Conquer the Promise Land.
And they buried him within the border of his inheritance at Timnath Serah, which is in the mountains of Ephraim.

16 What About Caleb? Joshua 14:10-13 (NKJV) And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. 11 As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said." 13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh as an inheritance.
