over 300 years tradition of technical education
Faculty of Transportation Sciences
member of European ETNITE project and ITS-EduNet Association oriented at ITS education
close cooperation with industry
based on these experience specialized ITS oriented study programme has been established
GOAL – based on actual trends in the ITS to produce highly qualified specialists in ITS area
Employment possibilities for graduates are mainly:
designers of complex transport systems
transport professionals in public sector
system operators of traffic control systems
specialists in design and development of automotive industry
project managers for large transport projects
experts in evaluation of ITS systems
Study structure:
bachelor study – 3 years
master study – 2 years

3. Study structure – 1st part of bachelor study
first 3 semesters (1,5 year) – joint first part of study for all students
includes mainly:
common technical knowledge, e. g. mathematics, physics, mechanics, electrotechnics
introduction courses of all study branches
at the end of 3rd semester students choose in selection procedure their preferred study branch and project based on their preferences and study results

4. Study structure – 2nd part of bachelor study
the second part of bachelor study is specialized for each study branch (e. g. ITS)
emphasis is laid on scientific courses and work on student projects
joint working teams composed of students, scientific staff and experts form public and private sector
special workplaces and laboratories
finished by the bachelor thesis

highly specialized ITS study
ongoing project oriented education
part of double degree EM-ITS (European Master of Science in ITS) study with Fachhochschule Technikum Wien and Linköping University
study organized in 3 stages (1st+2nd semester, 3rd semester, 4th semester) with equivalent courses to enable students‘ mobility
