1 York

2 Train Children will be going to York Via train. We will be leaving and returning from Liverpool South Parkway. Class 7 are to meet at the station at 8.00am and will be leaving at Class 8 are to meet at the station at 9.00am and will be leaving at 9.30.

3 Arriving at York. When we reach York there is a 30 minute walk from the train station to the YHA. The children will be required to carry their bags for the duration of this journey and we ask that you bare this in mind. We suggest children pack their belongings in a back pack or a small case with wheels.

4 What to bring. Children will be required to bring along with them a packed lunch for the first day. Children are also allowed to bring a small bag of sweets for the evening. We encourage them to bring along a book or travel game as they will be given some free time before bed. They are also allowed to bring a maximum of £10 spends.

5 Whilst in York. On day one children will be visiting the Jorvic Centre where they will learn all about Viking life. They will then take part in an archaeological dig. We will walk to York Minster before we stop at Pizza Hut for dinner. There will be something for everybody so don’t worry if your child doesn’t eat pizza. We see this as an opportunity to try new things. If there are any dietary requirements please can you let myself or Mrs Pease know.

6 Day 2 Breakfast will be served in the YHA. Children will be able to access a full continental breakfast. They will also be provided with a packed lunch for the day. Children will be visiting the Rail Museum where they will take part in a Stephenson’s Rocket workshop and have a tour of the museum.

7 Arriving home Class 7 will be leaving York at and should arrive back at Liverpool South Parkway at Class 8 will be leaving York at and should arrive back at Liverpool Southpark way at 17.47

8 Medicines If your child requires medication please see Mrs Pease or myself to discuss. We as that you provide your child with sun cream. However should it be forgotten or lost, we will have cream available should you tick your child is allowed to use it on the consent form .
