Of key understanding is the need for additional funding to go into prevention, treatment, voluntary counseling and testing, and the development of health systems.

Here are some of the sectors which need to be strengthened, and can learn from other sectors such as mining and motor manufacturing.

In terms of the above, the cost of testing is still too expensive for many companies and we need to access tests by entering into public/private partnerships.
The cost of treatment is prohibitive. Business is seeking to obtain drugs from government either fro free or at a discounted rate, in return employers will treat, monitor and report to Government.
We need to be expanding the coverage of health insurance. Discussions regarding Low Income Medical Schemes need to be progressed.
There needs to be policy agreed on who takes responsibility for employees, spouses . children and the uninsured in terms of treatment.
In keeping with an overarching monitoring and evaluation system, the private sector needs to develop its on M&E system.
