6. Diagnosis/Treatment A laboratory test diagnoses chlamydia
Antibiotics are used to cure
If left untreated can cause sterility (unable to reproduce) due to scar tissue on either fallopian tubes or vas deferens

Caused by bacteria (warm, moist areas)
Usually asymptomatic (without symptoms)

11. Diagnosis/Treatment Medical testing
Examining discharge from penis under microscope
Examining culture test of vagina under microscope
If left untreated can cause sterility, damage to joints, heart tissue and other organs

13. How is it contracted?
Anal

17. Diagnosis/Treatment A blood test (VDRL)
Some states require this particular blood test before marriage
Penicillin or tetracycline are treatments
Any damage done cannot be reversed-what is done is done
