Support the teams at the UIS in the comprehension, follow up and quality assurance of the information reported by the country in the annual survey Support to the the national teams to ensure the consistency and the quality of the information reported to the UIS each year
13
Data Plan Missions: Improvment of Data Quality
Better coverage Reliability Reliable indicators which can be published Increases data quality More publishable indicators
14
Data Plan Missions: Improvment of Data Quality?
Improving reliability Ex. 1: Classification of national education programs to the ISCED… Mejoramiento de la clasificación de programas nacionales dentro de la CINE

Improving coverage Ej 2: Clarification, definition of ‘graduate’
QA, Table 9: Graduates by ISCED level and type of institution (Primary and Lower Secondary, All Programs – general and technical/vocational education) Graduates by gender - public institutions ISCED 1 Total number of graduates by gender for this level. Obtain data on pupils promoted to form 1 of secondary education in (SSQ, Table 3, enrolment in form 1 minus repeaters) ISCED 2 Total number of graduates by gender for this level Obtain data on pupils promoted to form 4 of secondary education in (SSQ, Table 3, enrolment in form 4 minus repeaters) Use ‘’a’’ for not applicable for graduates of technical/vocational programs Graduates by gender - private institutions Obtain data on pupils promoted to form 1 of secondary education (SSQ, Table 3, enrolment in form 1 minus repeaters) Obtain data on pupils promoted to form 4 of secondary education (SSQ, Table 3, enrolment in form 4 minus repeaters) A graduate for these levels is defined as follows: Primary (ISCED 1) graduates are defined as all students who are promoted to form 1 of secondary education. Lower secondary (ISCED 2) graduates are defined as all students who are promoted to form 4 of secondary education Secondary level graduates (ISCED 3) are defined as all students who have finished form 6 of secondary level.
