1. How to Create your Sea Floor Spreading Model

2. 1. Cut on the 3 black lines on tan paper.

3. 2. Cut out the 2 strips of ocean floor

4. 3. Fold back the white tab on both ocean floor strips

5. 4. Insert tabs through center cut.

6. 5. Turn over model and glue tabs to tan paper

7. 6. Glue middle 2 sections on back of tan paper.

8. 7. Attach to middle of p. 5 in notes.

9. 8.Tuck the striped pieces through the top and bottom openings.

10. 9. Cut out “sea floor spreading” and glue to upper left corner of p.5

11. 10. Cut out title and glue to upper left corner.

12. 11. Cut out “subduction” and glue next to top opening on tan paper.

13. 12. Cut out “mid-ocean ridge” and glue next to middle opening on tan paper.

14. 13. Cut out “magnetic stripes” and glue next to one of the red stripes.

15. 14. Cut out “deep ocean trench” and glue next to bottom opening on tan paper.

16. 15. Cut out “younger floor/older floor” and glue on right side of model.

17. 16. Cut out “ cooler floor/hotter floor” and glue on right side of model.
