She was hurting, suffering, desperate, determined
Jesus was busy, on His way to help someone else
Jesus was crowded and maybe not comfortable
Jesus stopped everything to meet and help this woman
Jesus helped this woman find a wonderful peace

4. Widow of Nain (Luke 7:11-17) She was sad, grieving, mourning, lonely
Jesus on His way into a new city with a large crowd
Jesus could have let this lady pass by with her mourners
Jesus took time to help this woman

5. Sinful woman anointing Jesus’ feet (Luke 7:36-50)
She was undesirable, immoral, humble, penitent
Jesus was engaged in effort to reach this Pharisee
Jesus was in someone else’s home
Jesus could have gone along with others and shooed this woman away
Jesus helped her with her greatest need

6. Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10)
He was a chief tax collector, rich, hated, sought to see Jesus, fought the crowd
Jesus pinpointed this one man in the crowd
Jesus reached out and “set up a study” that very day
Jesus talked to him about salvation that very day

7. Rich Young Ruler (Matt. 19:16-22)
He was rich, young, ruler, eager, searching, interested, religious, covetous
Though He taught multitudes, Jesus took time for “one”
Jesus pointed to God’s requirements for eternal life
Jesus was not willing to alter God’s answers
Jesus would not compromise in order to gain a disciple

8. Thief on the cross (Luke 23:39-43)
He was a criminal, robber, enemy, insulting & mistreating
Even in the midst of His own distress, Jesus was interested in others
Jesus did not hold any mistreatment against Him against the offender
Jesus was willing to forgive and help a man get to heaven

9. What’s the point? Jesus wanted all to be saved. Do we?
Even in crowds, Jesus saw each person as an individual. Do we?
Jesus saw souls who were lost and needed to be saved. Do we?
Jesus intentionally interacted with individuals to impact their eternal destiny. Do we?
Jesus took advantage of every opportunity available with every person. Do we?
