4 O & M Survey Questions Background Funding Dedicated Personnel
Practices & Ownership At what point is scale reached (# of practices needed where cost becomes affordable*) Funding Where does it originate How much is allocated to Inspection, Maintenance and/or Both Dedicated Personnel Municipality Contractor Volunteers Other / Combination Inspection & Maintenance Responsibilities Forms Maintenance Agreements

5 What [where] is Scale? At what point is scale reached (# of practices needed where cost becomes affordable*) For example 1,000 sf permeable pavement versus 43,560 sf permeable pavement 5,000 sf bioswale versus 15,000 sf bioswale 1,000 acres of turf mowed reduced to 100 acres turf mowed Cost savings reallocated to GI inspection & maintenance Survey responses will help determine the tipping point For comparative purposes turning to a respected industry resource for engineering cost estimates.

6 R.S. Means Data, 2016 World’s leading provider of construction cost data, software, and services for all phases of the construction lifecycle. Provides accurate and up-to-date cost information to help owners, developers, architects, engineers, contractors and others carefully and precisely project and control the cost of both new building construction and renovation projects.  City cost indexes Productivity rates Crew composition Contractor's overhead and profit rates It is a data standard for government work in terms of pricing, and is widely used by the industry as a whole.
