2 Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869. Was born in Portbandar, India. Was the leader of the Indian Nationalist Movement

3 Education Background 17 years old, traveled to England to a degree in law at University College London. 21 years old, finally realized that violence was evil. began to developed a method of non-violent resistance, which was called satyagraha.

4 Accomplishment Fought for independence without firing a single bullet.
Got the British to leave and India is finally free. Inspired many young minds like Martin Luther King Jr.

6 Why I Admire This Person
Was a passive fighter. Believe that you can achieved something without resorting to violence. did the impossible. Brought freedom to his people from the British rule. Only fought for others, was never selfish. Was never thinking about himself.

7 Nelson Mandela Was born on July 18, 1918.
Birthplace was Transkei, South Africa. Was the President of South Africa.

8 Education Background Went to college at Healdtown in Fort Beaufort.
After there was a boycott their he left and headed towards Johannesburg and got his Bachelors' Degree of Arts at the University of South Africa.

9 Accomplishment Was the first elected president in South Africa and became president in 1994. Nelson Mandela helped fight apartheid and segregation. In 1993, Mandela was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work for the his part to get rid of apartheid.

11 Why Do I Admire This Person
Fought for what is right. Did not want racism in his country anymore. Said "I don't want to live in a country like this, so I'm going to make a difference.“ Brought a change , not only to South Africa, but the whole world. Made people think that racism was bad and evil
