The exact date is unknown, but it was launched in the year 288 BC Sadly, there is no more Library of Alexandria

3 Purpose This magnificent building was built by Ptolemy I
This structure was built to be an academy, a research center, and be a library It ended up what it was made for an academy, a research center, and a library

4 Unique facts It held over 400,000 scrolls, that is equivalent to 100,00 books Eratosthenes proved that the earth was round here and calculated its circumference Also Euclid wrote his elements of geometry here

5 There will never be anything like it
The ancient Library of Alexandria is unique and there is not one like it in the world. This library sadly is not an ancient wonder but it was cool
