Levels of radon vary from house to house. Health Canada recommends that every house be tested for radon.

Radon test kits are available at Home Depot and Home Hardware stores across Canada for around $30.
It is important to purchase a long-term test kit that stays in your home for at least 3 months. The purchase price should include shipping and laboratory fees to analyze the results.
