1 Wine for Sale Online

2 Welcome to Rare Wine Online
Welcome to Rare Wine Online. From the greatest estates on earth to small artisan producers who’s wines provide excellent value for money, these wines are painfully low in volume and demand far exceeds supply. These wines are rare and hard to source, the reason we chose the name Rare Wine.

3 Domaine Pavelot 1er Cru ‘Les Vergelesses’ Rouge 2012

4 In recent years, Luc has been selectively adding small amounts of whole clusters into tank for the reds, as the vintage merits, adding a spicy, herbal component which contributes to the wine’s complexity, and leads to more structured wines. Thanks to the dedication of young winemakers like Luc Pavelot

5 Bott Geyl Pinot Gris ‘Furstentum’ Grand Cru 2009
Jean-Christophe Bott is heir to the family tradition dating back to 1795, when his ancestor, Jean-Martin Geyl tended his vines and made his wine. Jean-Christophe Bott has been responsible for Domaine Bott-Geyl since 1993 and he converted the vineyards to be organic in 2000 and then biodynamic in 2002.

7 Bott Geyl Gewurztraminer Les Elements 2012
I don’t know why more people don’t drink Gewurztraminer. Bright gold-tinged straw. It’s Clean, fresh, smoky aromas of peach, rose and apricot are so juicy and fresh in the mouth, conveying a breezy quality to the ripe tropical fruit and floral flavours. Finishes bright and long. Its a great wine to match spicy food.

9 Genot-Boulanger Puligny-Montrachet ‘Les Nosroyes’ 2009
Named for the walnut trees that once grew here, Les Nosroyes is a well-placed vineyard below premier cru Les Referts. This is a stunning Puligny-Montrachet of premier cru standard, but at a smidgeon of the 1er cru price tag!

10

11 Genot-Boulanger Clos de Vougeot 2010
Domaine Génot-Boulanger was founded in 1974 by a Parisian pharmacist named Charles-Henri Génot. Back then, it was more of a hobby than a livelihood, and together with his wife, Marie, née Boulanger, Charles-Henri started exploring the terroir and purchasing parcels all along the Côte d’Or, beginning with their first vines in Mercurey

12

13 Olivier Pithon Le Pilou 2011
100% Carignan from 100 year old vines.Super wine and very rare. Rustic and earthy are the hallmarks of this beauty. Solid tannins so should be decanted now. Will least at least another decade.

15 Comte Armand Pommard Clos des Epeneaux 2005

16 Like the 2006, this is presently brooding and even more backward with only grudging and very ripe notes of plum, spice and earth in evidence where the earthy character can also be found on the textured, velvety and mouth coating full-bodied flavors blessed by superb depth of material and so much dry extract that the finish is borderline chewy but not at all aggressive. A serious wine that will need at least 15 and probably 20 years to really be at its best but when it arrives, it should more than repay the wait. Note that in my strong opinion it is pointless to purchase this and try to enjoy it young as it really will need extended bottle age to justify the price of admission

17 Comte de Vogue Musigny 2006 Deep, bright red. Offers an extra dimension on the nose, with captivating sappy red fruits, minerals, blood orange, clove, menthol and bitter chocolate. Enters the mouth thick and opulent, then wonderfully dense and seamless in the middle, with compelling sweetness and piquant minerality. The back half of the wine shows the powerful, structured side of the vintage, finishing with major tannins and an impression of brooding energy. This may well merit a higher score with a decade or so of bottle ageing
