Prefixes Today we are going to use prefixes to determine the meaning of words. Determine= figure out What are going to do today? What are we going to determine?

Prefixes Raise your hand if you have ever added sugar to your cereal for breakfast? Did adding the sugar change the taste of the cereal?

A prefix is a word part added to the beginning of a base word.
Please keep in mind…the base word is a word by itself. Example pre-read. Read is a word by itself without the prefix “pre”. Pre + read=pre-read What is a prefix?
