Quick Write Turn to page 81 in your book. Review the picture on the top. Imagine you are preparing to teach your classmates about cultural diversity. Writing at least 4-5 COMPLETE sentences, answer the following questions. What culture traits do these two cultures have in common? How are they different? How does your own culture compare to the ones pictured?

Cultural Diffusion Cultures often spread around the world. It’s interesting to think about what we share with other cultures that are often incredible different from ours. How do those ideas make change? Your book uses the example of baseball and how it has been spread world wide? What “NEW” idea has been spread world wide?

Once you have finished researching, return the iPad and begin preparing for your presentation. Look over the rubric provided to get an idea of what is expected in your presentation. Yesterday, you researched both your culture and a culture from somewhere else in the world. Today, using the sheet provided, you will formulate a presentation for your classmates. You will need to describe the culture you researched to your classmates. You may draw, write or find videos related the culture you researched. You will have the entire class to prepare.

Your presentation should include a MAP! It should include the capital. Your presentation should be 4 minutes in length.

What more would you like to learn about this culture? What was the most interesting part of the presentation? What stood out to you about the culture? Was the presenter well organized?

Quick Write Now that you, as a class, have chosen which new idea you would like to design, you must prepare a presentation to the billionaire who will be funding it. In 6-8 sentences, you must prepare your presentation. Tell the billionaire the name, logo, what makes it likely to become popular and why they should fund this project. Defend your project. Keep your Bell Work open. I will be grading the last 4 you have completed.

Exam Day Get your notebooks or binders. Take your seat at level 0. You may start your test as soon as you receive it. When you are finished, put the answer key your class period’s folder and lay the test on the table. Go back to your seat. You may read, work quietly on material from another class or draw.
