The Philippines addresses very real challenges – economic and technological alike, in terms of internet affordability, investment platforms and the digital divide within the country
As policy makers, industry champions and sector regulators, the government’s role ranges from establishing integrated infostructures for connectivity and access, to promulgating rules that safeguard the interest of the public, while at the same time promoting telecommunications industry development
It is through a multi-stakeholder model of developing frameworks and plans, and close coordination with industry that appropriate policy recommendations are met
