6 Capstone Design ABET Requirement WA Requirement
“Students must be prepared for engineering practice through the curriculum culminating in a major design experience based on the knowledge and skills acquired in earlier course work and incorporating engineering standards and realistic constraints that include most of the following considerations: economic; environmental; sustainability; manufacturability; ethical; health and safety; social; and political.” WA Requirement “Design solutions for complex engineering problems, and design systems, components or processes.”

7 Proposed Program IS-CAPS (International Students Joint Capstone Design) Objectives - Development of Open, Innovative Engineering Education Model - Construction of Asian Cooperative, Education Network - Participation into Engineering Education (E2) Festival for IS-CAPS Competition Organization - Korean Colleges: 12 including CBNU - International Partners: ITB (Indonesia), TU (Nepal), UKM (Malaysia) - IS-CAPS Committee : composed of professors of participating colleges Operation - 4-6 students per team (composed of selected international student groups) - Team work for 6 months (March thru August or September thru February each year) - Online meetings at CyberLab and offline design camps - Project themes and advisors determined March or September every year - Each team has co-advisors (professors) at home colleges - Design plans should be submitted to home advisors and IS-CAPS committee
