*William McKinley was born on January 29,1843 in Niles, Ohio.

*At age 25 he came Albany, one of the leading city’s in the U.S at he time to study the science of the law. At Albany law school , he attended lectures by its three faculty members and studied closely the judicial decisions they cited.

*He became president on September 14th 1901 *He was elected in congress in 1876

* McKinley entered Ohio Politics in 1864 and rose through the ranks as a republican winning election to the U.S congress in 1876.
