Summary: This book demonstrates how one rumor can get started and from one person or in this case animal to another the rumor changes and changes until someone gets hurt in this case mother Owls baby died.
Activity: The teacher could tell one student to whisper something they knew was not true, then have another student tell it to another until all the students have told the thing that was not true. The teacher then asks each child to tell what they were told by the time it reaches the last child the children will say that is not what I said.
What makes this book multicultural? This book is multicultural because it describes different animals telling different stories and they were all lies.
