Support Studies To experience the trenches of World War One
To empathise with the soldiers of World War One To recognise the diversity of those who contributed to the war To reflect on the loss of life and causes of war (a key topic in Year 9!)

Lijssenthoek – Bayernwald – Essex Farm – Langemarck – Vancouver Corner – Tyne Cot – Dinner – Menin Gate – Accommodation in Ieper Saturday: Depart accommodation: 08:30 Serre and Sheffield Memorial Park – Newfoundland Park – Ulster Tower – Lochnagar Crater – Thiepval Memorial Depart Somme: 17:00 Inbound Shuttle: 20:50 Arrive UK: 20:30 Arrive MHCHS: 22:30

Breakfast for Friday Lunch for Friday Layers and waterproofs A change of footwear Overnight bag Pyjamas Wash bag Towel Phones and electrical items are brought at the students’ risk £30 in Euros to cover chocolate shopping and dinner on Saturday night

Students will need to HAND in their passport to a member of staff as they leave the car park to walk down to the triangle If you are late, the shuttle will not care! We will have to leave without you.
