5. Input unit Keyboard is most common input
device.Data and programs are entered
by pressing keys.
Mouse is input device that
rolls on flat surface.

6. Software
Applications software is end-user software that we use for everyday
work.
System software While an application program is run on computer, a
‘background’ program is required to make sure that the computer hardware
carries out the intended tasks.

7. Types of computer system
Computer are classified into four types depending
on physical size and processing speed and memory
size.The four types are microcomputer,minicomputer,
mainframe and supercomputer.

8. Microcomputer are most familiar kind of computer.They also know
personal computer(PC).
Minicomputer are used to link up number of workstation in a company.
Mainframe are room size system capable of high speed processing
of large amount of data for many users at the same time.
Supercomputer are high speed special purpose computer system.These
system are built to process large amount of mathematical and scientific
data.
