Sea Turtles
2
Where they're from ? Sea turtles are mostly popular in the Atlantic Ocean but you can see them in the Gulf of Mexico and Mississippi. Their feeding and nesting grounds are in Eastern Pacific and Indian Oceans. Another nesting ground is in nourthern-eastern. Australia.
3
How many are left ? There were once several million green sea turtles worldwide. Today there are only 200,000 nesting females. Scientists reckon that there are only 150 to 350 nesting females a year.
4
Why they're endangered ? Millions of sea turtles have been killed over the past 20 years by getting trapped in nets and on fishing hooks. Fishing isn't the only danger for turtles. Rubbish like plastic bags in the oceans can hurt the animals if they eat them by mistake.

What we can do to help ? There are alot of ways you can help and here are a few, knock down your sandcastles before you leave because baby sea turtles need to find a clear path to the sea, don't help sea turtle hatchlings into the water they have to flex their muscles before trying to swim, don't camp on the beach because momma turtles may bump into you and give up nesting that night, don't drive on the beach because you could crush sea turtle eggs.
