Type is about preferences – not knowledge, skills or abilities
There are no right and wrong preferences
Type is not an excuse – we can all use every attitude (E-I & J-P) and function (S-N & T-F)
Each team member is the best judge of his or her own preferences
Type should empower team members, not limit them
More similar MBTI types; more understanding - and vice versa

2. Predicting Team Effectiveness
Teams with similar types make quick decisions but not necessarily better ones
Dissimilar team members reach decisions slower (and more painfully) - but often make better decisions due to varied viewpoints
Teams with only one person with a particular preference (e.g. Introvert) may fail to appreciate the value of the difference
Teams appreciating different types may experience less conflict
Successful teams, with many different types, promote development and learning from each other
