“Ivanka Trump to visit Bucks County Monday” Right across the street!
2
Ivanka Trump will visit Bucks County on Monday to press for President Trump’s tax-cutting plan, the White House’s top legislative priority. The afternoon town hall event in Richboro (James Kinney Senior Center) will give the president’s daughter a platform in a moderate part of the state. White House officials said that Ivanka Trump will argue that the tax proposal will benefit middle-class families. She is often called on to present a softer side of the president’s vision. She is to be joined by U.S. Treasurer Jovita Carranza and former U.S. Rep. Nan Hayworth of New York. Ivanka Trump, like her father, has ties to the area, having graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. The county is represented by Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, a first-term Republican who has at times defied GOP leaders. Several other Republicans in the Philadelphia area have also raised questions about the tax plan’s call to eliminate deductions for state and local taxes, a benefit that helps many in the city’s suburbs.

In Other News What counts as dietary fiber? That's up for debate. The Food and Drug Administration is reviewing 26 ingredients that food manufacturers use to bulk up the fiber content of processed foods to determine if there's a health benefit. A bunch of packaged foods contain added fiber. Some examples include Fiber One bar products, some cereal and instant oatmeal products, as well as some pastas and English Muffins. Most people know that an apple is a healthier choice than a high-fiber brownie, but when they see high fiber counts on the label, "it may just be enough to convince them to go with the brownie." Justin Timberlake is returning to the Super Bowl stage. The NFL announced Sunday that Timberlake, 36, is set to perform in Super Bowl LII's halftime show on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis. It will be Timberlake's third time performing at the game. He previously appeared at Super Bowl XXXV in 2001 with his band *NSYNC. It's unclear whether anyone will be joining him on stage this time around.
