What Do Living & Nonliving Things Look Like Under the Microscope?
You & your partner will be viewing each of the following items under the microscope (one at a time). -tomato -cheek cells - sponge -snake skin -elodea - salt Once living Living Non-living Things to record: -drawing of specimen -magnification used -name of specimen -category (living…) Be prepared to discuss your observations with the class.

Questions to answer: WRITE THE QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What microscopic differences exist between living & non-living objects? What sort of evidence would be needed to support the generalization that all organisms, including humans, are composed of cells? Did your observations reveal any consistent differences between plant & animal cells? If so, what are they? Not all cells are the same size & shape. What might be some reasons for these differences?
