What are the steps/protocol for this crisis intervention (i.e. how things are done, chain of command, what kind of follow up if any, exists)? No crisis intervention protocol manual. No “typical client.” Steps to obtaining services: Sign In Meet with Interviewer Go to each and/or all departments (food, clothing, financial or shelter). Receive goods. The director Fran deals with services that are not provided and then makes referrals. Large group of volunteers will also assist in the event of a large scale need, ie: natural disaster

Crisis Intervention Protocol Steps CCAP Protocol Steps Immediacy-the intervention begins as soon as the helping party and the party in need meet. Control –the intervener provides needed structure. Assessment- is made to determine the quickest, most effective way to help client. Disposition- Helps the person set up and utilize any resources they may have. Referral- Any other problems that can’t be solved by an agency are then referred to others that can help. Follow up- Checks on the progress to see if any additional services or referrals are needed. Serves people the day they come in. Interviewers meet with client and registers them and keeps record of visit. Assessment is made, client is directed to the correct department. Provides services to clients to help them utilize their resources, ie: giving rides or providing bus fare to and from work. The client is referred mainly to local churches for extended help. Doesn’t provide follow up services.
