does not attend to affixes
mispronounces words/letter sounds
omits words
repeats words, phrases or sentences
reverses words/letter sounds
does not maintain syntactic integrity (does not make sense)
does not recognize linking verbs
“chunks” unknown words
self-corrects
inserts words (but the sentence meaning is not changed)
substitutes words while maintaining comprehension (i.e. Ebonics, abbreviations for long names, etc.)
