Rounding Repeating Decimals Decimals are rounded to a specified place value using the same rules of rounding as discussed in Chapter One (Section 1.1) Example rounded to the nearest tenth is 3.6

Problems Involving Fractions and Decimals Working in terms of fractions Write the decimal as a fraction and perform the operation. ¼ = ¼ + ½ = ¾ Working in terms of decimals Write the fraction as a decimal and perform the operation. ¼ = = 0.75
