Participants will receive recommendations on what the deliverables are under DOL and YouthBuild USA guidelines Participants will be able to network and peer share promising strategies. Participants will be given considerations to support the implementation of OSHA and NIOSH standards as prescribed in the DOL SGA. #

8 Basic DOL Guidelines According to Final Rule
No more than 10% of grant funds may be used for training and supervision on community or other public facilities 40% of time on workforce investment activities Every YB program is required to provide construction training

9 DOL YouthBuild Requirements
Construction plus is in addition to construction PPE is allowable expense Rental income IS program income, sale of property is NOT and can go back into program Must comply with State and Federal safety standards

10 DOL YouthBuild Requirements
OSHA and NIOSH standards are mandatory A site form must be filed Injury reporting with OSHA standards/forms is required, and what are all of the requirements within the injury report… i.e. time limit, extent of injury, what is considered an injury…..?
