In small groups of students with the same assigned leader, brainstorm on butcher paper as many ideas, terms, people, events as possible in response to the following questions. Brainstorm events, trends, ideas. Use HW/Classwork if needed: 1. What events were key in shaping your philosophy? 2. What were the reasons you led a resistance movement and what events occurred as you fought for your goals? 3. What do you think is the best way to resist oppressive rule? Why? 4. In groups, look over your brainstorm and CIRCLE any idea that is general, connects to the thesis and could be the focus of a subtopic that supports your leader Put a SQUARE around anything that is very specific and could be a piece of EVIDENCE Draw connections between ideas that relate to each other.
