Refined the concept of score cards Researched the literature for measures which might have some relevance to this project and could be extracted from the HES data set Drawn up a list of Urological activity Diagnostic groups Operations Examined all possible outcome measures available in routine data Selected appropriate procedures, groups and measures for a pilot study Built the first 5 item reporting system

3 Definition of a Clinical Score Card
A data report produced on a regular basis Sent to individual practitioners (not their managers) On an “opt out” basis A few easy-to-view reports and graphics Uses agreed outcome measures and standards where they exist Compares data between clinicians, their consultant team and the NHS as a whole Tracks change in performance over time Urology Score Card
