Selection criteria Research excellence Commitment to service/outreach Median age ~37y 5y membership term Your best bet on the global scientific leadership in the next years Worldwide network of 200 members and 134 alumni. Officially founded in 2010. There can only be 200 members at any given time, membership lasts 5 years. 2017

6 What we do Support young scientists in career development and independence Engage in interdisciplinary, international and intergenerational dialogue on scientific issues Build science capacity in the developing world Promote science education and science-policy integration Activities – Themes Support – Engage – Build – Promote If you have a look at our website, you will find our projects clustered in 3 major themes: Science & Society, Research Environment, and Science Education and Outreach 2017

9 4- What’s the ultimate goal of Science Education for Youth WG?
We want to engage young people through science cafes and festivals, as well as educate citizens so as to enable them to make well-informed decisions and act responsibly (particularly at a time of DIY science and open access). We also want to be role models to future scientists, and engage girls in STEM activities through providing female scientist role models: empowering scientists and society to support the SDGs

14 5- The tool that our WG aims to develop :
The Learning Space is an online platform to coordinate such efforts by uploading/downloading activity materials, share documents and experiences, get feedback and even compile data towards “measuring excellence in science engagement activities”...
