Liberal uses of perl scripts for populating, maintaining and querying the database

Tracks various hardware components (disk, NICs, processors, chassis)
Rudimentary ticket system and remarks
Event logs
Purchasing related data (vendor, purchase order, payment sources)
Rudimentary integration with nagios
Groups and host attributes
