4 Introduction This is a robot vehicle with ultrasonic sensor.
The main function is to detect the wall or obstacle and measure the distance between obstacle and robot. Measured distance is displayed on LCD. Omnidirectional wheel.

This robot vehicle mainly contains three parts – 1. Wheels and DC motor 2. Wheels and motor controller 3. Obstacle detector

7 DESCRIPTION A DC Motor is a electromechanical device that converts electrical energy in to mechanical energy i.e.,to rotate the wheel of the vehicle. Motor gives power to microcontroller which then controls the working of robot. A omni wheel is used to rotate vehicle in omni direction.

9 Contd…. Wheel and motor controller basically controlles the motion of the vehicle and its direction directed by sensor. A L293D IC control dc motors. This chip is designed to control 2 DC motor. There are 2 input and 2 output pins for each motor. A 9v battery is use to provide supply to motor.

11 Contd…. The third part contain a MCU, a LCD and sensor. Sensor sense the presence of wall / obstacle. Microcontrollers are ideally suited for such an application as they are compact, have many built-in hardware features such as timers and UARTS, have a significant number of digital I/O lines and have low power requirements MCU controlled the whole circuit of vehicle. Output of sensor work as input for MCU. Output of the MCU is display on LCD connected with it.

13 ULTRASONIC SENSOR A sensor is a device that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be read by an observer or by an instrument. ULTRA SONIC SENSOR uses as distance detector . It detect the distance of object (wall) by an ultrasonic wave generated through piezoelectric by sensor and come back after collision with object.

14 calculation:- Speed of Sound * Time Passed / 2 = Distance from Object Speed of sound in air is 330 m/s.

15 . BLJ-ME007 ultrasonic sensor is  non-contact distance  measurement  module. BLJ-ME007Y-PWM module provides ultrasonic 30cm-3m of non-contact distance measurement function, is waterproof sensor can use in rainy day also.

19 WORKING PRINCIPLE  The ultrasonic sound is created by the Piezoelectric crystal inside the sensor. It converts electrical energy to ultrasonic sound energy. Sensor transmits ultrasonic waves by transmitter and receive the reflected waves by receiver.

1. The object should be sufficiently large enough to reflect the waves. 2. The propagation measurement depends upon the medium of (the speed of ultrasound varies with the medium). 3. Affected by wind 4. Affected by hardness of object
