Civil rights are freedoms that all people receive regardless of age, race, gender, or ability.
Susan B. Anthony wanted suffrage or the right to vote for women.
Susan and her friends decided to vote in a Presidential election even though it was illegal.
Susan didn’t live to see it, but the 19th amendment to the Constitution was passed in 1920, giving women suffrage.
