Red means – the symbol of our modernity
Green means- the symbol of Islamic unity
The name of Turkish flag is Ay-yildiz or Al bayraq. Red and white colours on the flag symbolize the south-western branch of Turks.
There are fifty stars on the flag. The stars show the number of states in the USA.
Red means – courage
White means - liberty
Blue means - justice

Dove is adopted as the symbol of peace in many countries.

18. Summary
The students read out the passage about the flags and its colours. Doing the exercises the students come to conclusion that each colour has a special role in our lives. Colours have relationship not only with nature, life, but also with the symbols and attributes.
