Behaviour & Learning Habits
Good – To – Be – Green System – stay on green! Enabling the chance & ability to demonstrate redemption Good – To – Be – Green Stickers and Tokens/Golden Time Percy the Perseverance Penguin – our school mascot for perseverance: promoting and encouraging resilience and praising effort Collaboration stickers – effective team working skills and promoting togetherness in overcoming obstacles Questioning – encouraging greater depth in the level of questioning to spark though-provoking responses

Parent Support Labelling possessions Please ensure children’s P.E. kits are clearly labelled including each plimsoll. We would also ask that you label coats, jumpers and jackets with a permanent marker along with your child’s class. Please provide your child with an art apron or an old shirt. Water Bottles The school has a policy that children bring water bottles to school and are encouraged to drink water throughout the day. Please ensure your child has a water bottle and praise them for drinking during the school day. Promoting Independence Home-School communication / Absences

Year 4 Homework Expectations
Homework supports and reinforces the learning done at school that week. Given out on Friday, back by Wednesday Please ensure that an adult is overseeing and supporting the homework process.

Trips & Assemblies As part of our topic learning, we have proposed visits to the British Museum as well as various assemblies linked to our learning this term. . Topic: British Museum – Ancient Egypt Exhibition 4B & 4S – Monday 16th October 4C – Tuesday 17th October Topic Assembly – Ancient Egypt Friday 3rd November pm - Main Hall RE Assembly – Hannukah Friday 8th December pm - Main Hall RE: Jewish Synagogue – Scheduled later on in the Year (Spring/ Summer Term) Year 4 Production – Scheduled later on in the Year (Summer Term) Trip letters – read, signed and brought back to class teacher/ School Office Parent helpers and volunteers! – Please make clear to your class teacher which you can attend
