Your maps need to include these things.

4. TITLE
Title lets the reader know what the map is about

5. Orientation
Orientation tells the reader direction - NSEW

6. Date
Date tells the reader when the map was made

7. Author
Author tells the reader who made the map

8. Legend
Legend tells the reader how to read the map and what the different symbols mean

9. Scale
Scale tells the reader the size of the map in relation to its size in the real world

10. Index
Index provides the reader with a list of all the information portrayed on the map
This will not be applicable to most of the maps you make.

11. Grid Grid helps the reader determine exact location
(ex: Latitude/Longitude coordinates)

12. Source
Source tells the reader where the cartographer got his/her information

13. Maps & Globes A map is a flattened out portion of a globe.
The oldest known map is a Babylonian clay tablet created 2,500 years ago.
