FIGURE 3 Mean (±SE) BAL albumin and TP levels in survivors and nonsurvivors over time. In nonsurvivors of ARDS (gray bar), mean BAL albumin and TP levels (g/L) remained elevated over time. BAL albumin levels over time were 447±31, 404±54, and 337±61. BAL TP levels over time were 957±53, 788±94, and 695±108. In survivors of ARDS (white bar), mean BAL albumin and TP levels (g/L) rapidly decreased over time. BAL albumin levels over time were 406± 13, 124±27.
