Wordsmyth has beginner’s, children’s, and advanced dictionaries. Teachers can easily make glossaries for words they would like to teach or review. The site also gives synonyms and antonyms for troublesome vocabulary words. For words that are difficult to pronounce, the real audio pronunciations are helpful. There is a Word of the Week feature as well as a Glossary of the Week. Vocabulary cloze activities can be created in minutes, and there are numerous other vocabulary activities.

Vocabulary.com offers numerous features including the following: -Featured Vocabulary Lists, -Current Events Vocabulary, and -Vocabulary Word of the Day.

6 Vocabulary Vocabulary assessment should incorporate activities such as knowledge ratings, word walls, and vocabulary charts (Gambrell et al., 2007).

To model this strategy, have students take the following steps: >Choose a rough paragraph from a current text. >Have students use the INSERT method by thinking aloud to one another. >Invite students to share Robb, L. FreeRice.com provides interactive vocabulary activities. For every correct answer, FreeRice.com donates ten grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. As students answer correctly, their virtual bowl of rice continues to increase.
