2 ONF Antitrust & Intellectual Policies and Specific Guidance
This is a reminder that all Open Networking Foundation activities are subject to strict compliance with the Open Networking Foundation's Antitrust Guidelines. Each individual participant and attendee at this meeting is responsible for knowing the contents of the Antitrust Guidelines, and for complying with the Antitrust Guidelines. 4 ONF ODTN Project Initial project meeting held last week
Several carriers interested (NTT is the primary sponsor) Also component and system vendors Overall goal is to develop a reference implementation using ONOS with common/standard interfaces TAPI is a leading candidate for the NBI But needs support for implementation on ONOS OpenConfig is a leading candidate for the SBI Parts of OpenROADM may be added in Phase 2 Plan of action Carriers to use 2 weeks to agree on basic use cases and their level of support After the results are presented to vendors, they can decide on participation 12 month initial project lifetime

Several interested carriers High interest in multi-layer provisioning use case Also in network reoptimization and network slicing use cases OIF holding conference calls with participants Demo will probably be open to OIF members and non-members Non-members (including carriers) will pay fee to offset costs Target still to show results at June 2018 NGON conference Vendor survey next Poll for possible participants probably out of 4Q OIF Meeting

Update to Notification section – still needs further alignment with model Plan to move document to the TAPI calls soon TAPI (Karthik) TAPI IM tagged as RC2 – updated OAM, resilience, ODU/OTSi spec models Expect another RC after RC2 – esp. spec model enhancements, plus possible feedback on core TAPI framework from MEF modeling folks OTIM (Kam) Continuing work on ODU/OTSi models Initial discussion on Ethernet PHY model with WT group Kam will be out for the end of the month WT (Giorgio) Adopted 20 open topics Joint discussion with OTIM to start beginning November Collecting interest on inventory tie to ONAP Event is end Nov so participation needs to be decided in next few weeks Starting discussion on PoC 5 – around April/June 2018

The registration for the CORD Build event is now open.  Registration at:  Registration is FREE if your organization is an ONF member. “Open Transport Project” + “Open IM & Tooling Project” Meeting will be co-located with the CORD Build event at the QCT facility on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, and at the ONF Lab on Monday & Friday. Note – add name to wiki site if attending M/F sessions Agenda now set for Wednesday joint discussion Morning presentation on OIMT and OTCC work Afternoon working sessions – aiming at getting CORD experts to also participate Applying for 2 “science fair” demonstrations

8 November (6-10) Workplan CORD Build Event: November 7 – 9 (Tuesday – Thursday) Venue Google Facility: Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), 1010 Rincon Circle, San Jose, CA 95131 Schedule: Work plan: There will be a specific track for the Open Transport (OT) and Open Information Modeling/Tooling (OIMT) projects Wednesday morning: presentation to CORD attendees Wednesday afternoon: 3 sessions aimed at joint work Tuesday and Thursday we have a large room for us to work; this will NOT be on the CORD Build agenda Science fair stand for demo, 2 hours per day at lunch time on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday – 2 demos have been proposed Venue and host for Monday and Friday: ONF Lab 1000 El Camino Real #100, Menlo Park, CA 94025 The Glass conference room has been reserved, which can hold people comfortably Monday 9:30 – 18:00; Friday 8:00 – 18:00 Expect less than 20 Invitation letter template for visa application: onf
