Health Services - Increase the Access, Improve the Quality, Lower the Cost Mission Mode Project to eradicate Malnutrition BJP has always held that 'universal food security' is integral to national security BJP will review the successful PDS models and incorporate the best practices to revise the existing PDS for benefitting the common man address the issue of under-nutrition and malnutrition

Important to periodically monitor food consumption patterns, so that the food
fortification program can be adjusted as needed Government monitoring and enforcement can enhance fortification compliance by producers and importers Transparency & accountability on product standards Adopt best Marketing practices CSR to demonstrate Public health issues always prevail over profit

WHAT SHOULD WE DO? Catch them young - school age children must be targeted Increase awareness: media; school teachers; governmental and NGO effort Minimize advertising pressure for “junk foods” School play grounds; “Games periods” Health food in school canteens
