What do these terms mean? What countries have adopted these policies? Why did they choose to do this? What have the impacts been upon their demographics?

4 Choose 2 different countries from the drop-down list. For each country, RUN 3 fertility scenarios: 2.6, 2.1 and 1.0 children per woman Write down the projected impact upon population size growth, and explain why this would occur. What effect would these changes have on the carrying capacity of a nation?

5 Millennium Development Goals (global scale attempts)
Global development policies (which target the death rate through agricultural development, improved public health and sanitation, and better service infrastructure) may stimulate rapid population growth by lowering mortality without significantly affecting fertility. Using the following headings, explain how these developments may affect global populations: 1. Education about contraception. 2. Increasing economic welfare. 3. Parents becoming dependent on their children in later life. 4. Urbanisation. 5. Policies directed to social equality for women.
