RWInc Grouped according to phonic understanding Reassessed every 6 weeks (end of half term) Once complete will continue to Spelling and Grammar sesion Home Reading Reading at home will be Oxford Reading Tree to allow children to read a range of texts Read 3 times – tricky words, comprehension, expression Books will be changed once complete Please comment in Reading Records Assessed by teacher at beginning and end of half term School Reading Guided Reading daily – levelled topic related books

Marks in my child’s book
V – verbal feedback S – sometimes children may require some extra explanation or support and this will be noted in their book - these are the next steps for the child to include in their work next time - teacher and children provide feedback relating to their achievement of the learning objective

PE PE will take place every Thursday.
Please bring PE kits on a Monday and take them home on a Friday. PE is statutory so written letter from parent needs to be provided to excuse children from PE for medical reasons.

Home/School Contact Book
Anyone collecting other than parent Message can be left with office for emergency changes If we do not have a record of the change, the child will remain in school while we contact a parent for confirmation

Homework Weekly reading (ideally a few pages each day)
7 Topic based assignments and 7 Maths based assignments to choose from Choose 4 from each 10 house points for every piece of completed homework Child places homework in the box when it is ready to be marked

Preparations will be made in school to prepare the children Additional support will be provided in Spring Term in the form of booster classes
