Impact of natural features
Prior to modern technology civilizations depended on natural resources in order to survive. Civilization: a society in an advanced state of social development (e.g., with complex legal and political and religious organizations)

Early civilizations had to adapt to make use of the resources they had available. Adapt: to conform oneself to new or different conditions; "We must adjust to the bad economic situation"

Land Features There are various land and water forms.

Work Time: Using your Geographic dictionary complete your groups task.
Group A: Identify three land features and three water features. Group B: Using the picture and the definition compare and contrast two water features and two land features. Group C: Imagine you are creating a civilization. Which two features would you want to have near by. Explain why.
