Course Introduction Class hours: 0800-1700
Builds upon the course prerequisites: ACQ201 - Acquisition Life Cycle Process ISA Basic Information Resource Management ISA Intermediate Information Resource Management Employs Guest Speakers, Case Study Analysis, Topical Discussions Focuses on “real-world” leadership-level Issues in IT and Software Acquisition Management Assigns homework to prepare for case-study and topic discussions Evaluates students based on individual case study analysis, individual participation in small groups, and individual participation in large group discussions

Course Introduction Guest Speakers Case Studies Topic Discussions
Provide current experience and expertise from “the field”. Pre-reading may be assigned as homework. Each student should be prepared to participate in discussions or ask questions. Case Studies DAU employs a Harvard-based case study methodology. Real-world lessons that require critical thinking and a structured problem solving process. Students will analyze a case each day as homework. Students will discuss the case each morning in a small learning team. Later in the day, students will participate in an instructor-facilitated class discussion. Topic Discussions Students will be required to analyze several topic areas and discuss their experiences, issues, and lessons learned with the class. Some topics will be instructor led and some will be student led. ELO#4 Summarize ISAM Course requirements and graduation criteria.
