3 Comprehensive Planning
Project Purpose: Do away with multiple reports. Design and develop a single, streamlined process for district and school level planning.

4 The Process All Phase 2 Districts (Weatherly Area SD) will submit a Comprehensive Plan via the CP web application by November 30, 2013 Weatherly Area SD must develop between 3 to 6 goals every 3 years Weatherly Area SD must form a District Level Planning Team

5 District Level Planning Team
Staff and Stakeholder groups may include: District Administrators Elem, Middle, and HS teachers Student(s) Parents School Board members Local business and community members

6 District Level Planning Team
Our planning team must contain at minimum: 6 Teachers (2 Elem., 2 Middle, and 2 HS) 2 Educ. Specialists (Guidance, Nurse etc.) 2 Admin. Representatives (Tech, Spec. Ed. etc.) 2 Parents (approved by the School Board) 2 Local business representatives (approved by School Board) 2 Community Reps. (approved by School Board)

7 Planning Team Objectives
Planning Team will review/develop the following: Mission, Vision, and Team Members Curriculum, Standards, Assessments, Resources Safe and Supportive Schools Professional Education Special Education SMART Goals Meet monthly (1x)-beginning in February 2013

8 SMART Goals After completing a needs assessment, the planning team will then develop SMART goals SMART goals are : Student-centered, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound Ex.- To improve overall student daily attendance. How: 1) Review current district policies 2) Implement awareness/preventions strategies- warning letters, phone calls, etc. 3) Implement collaboration with law enforcement and social services to pool resources.
